Garden weddings

For the perfect country wedding, Valverde has created a Renaissance style garden with lavender, roses and boxed hedges. It is designed in perfect symmetry and is ideal for a garden ceremony. The bride will walk in on a red carpet placed on the central gravel path, past the guests that will be seated on covered chairs on the sides, to meet her groom under the arch in front of the fountain. The setting makes for excellent photo opportunities during and after the ceremony. If you choose a garden wedding, you can have your reception both in the King’s Hall or Olive Lapa, as it is centrally located and within easy access from both reception venues.

For an outdoor reception, the Olive Lapa is the ideal wedding venue. It seats up to 150 guests (up to 200 with indoor and outdoor seating) and is open on 3 sides. Canvas blinds can be used to close if off entirely in case of bad weather. It is decorated with fairy lights, wrought iron lanterns with candles, and a massive chandelier. For the perfect indoor reception we have the King’s Hall which seats up to 120 guests, with a spacious raised dance floor, fire place and a separate buffet area. Click here to view the King’s Hall wedding gallery.

You may also hire the garden or one of the chapels for your ceremony (no formal sit-down reception afterwards). In this case a once-off chapel/garden hire fee of R2.500 will be charged for the use of the facilities. A cash bar can be provided before and/or after the ceremony at no additional cost.

You may wish to serve sweet or savoury snacks before or after the ceremony.
